Good question. It’s one I’ve been asked quite a lot by both friends and colleagues. The meaning is very significant and resonates deeply with me. So let me explain.
Rising Vibe is ultimately, about FEELING GOOD. We all want to feel good, but quite often we don’t. Why is this? How can we start to feel good, as often as possible, in all aspects of our lives?
Rising Vibe focuses on mindset, self-awareness and self-belief. But my light bulb moment came when, after an intense session with my own coach, I discovered the beautifully simple yet all encompassing Vibrational Scale of Emotions.
What I really love about this is that it encourages us to become aware of how we feel first and then notice what our thoughts are in that moment. It encourages us to become aware of our internal dialogue. What we tell ourselves has a huge impact on our lives and dictates how we interact with family, friends and colleagues, how we show up at work and whether we have an influence or not.
A lot of us, me included, find it difficult to tap into our thoughts, especially if we aren’t in a great place. If we’re consumed with fear/anxiety/anger, then getting into our head to figure out what thoughts we’re creating is difficult. When we feel like this, it’s hard to see anything objectively.
I’m not saying it’s easy, but it can be easier than you think. I believe that all of us, if we focus hard enough and have some help, can make a choice to feel good every day. We can choose contentment, right through to utter joy! We just need to learn how to get there.
Now I know what you’re thinking. We’re all starting from different points on the scale and some of us have a lot more work to do than others. Which brings me to the reason for the name, Rising Vibe. The reason I didn’t call the brand ‘Positive Vibe’ or ‘Good Vibe’ is because Rising Vibe isn’t about always being in a good mood, or always being positive.
It’s about feeling better.
It’s about finding relief.
Sometimes we feel utterly shit and we can’t expect to make a quantum leap to bliss. But just by making a small shift, we can feel a little bit better. If we’re feeling low and afraid, then feeling less afraid by 1% is an improvement.
That’s Rising Vibe.
When we feel rubbish, we aren’t productive, effective or kind and we certainly aren’t successful. Whereas when we feel good, we literally buzz. We feel tingly and full of energy. We feel like we can achieve anything.
This is what Rising Vibe will endeavour to do. We want to help teams/department/organisations/cultures; anyone that’s game, shift to a place where they feel like they have a choice to feel good. Not just at home but in the workplace too.
We’ve all been in a situation where we walk into a room and can just feel the buzz. Or on the flip side, we can enter a room that feels utterly flat. Starting with an awareness of self, we can collectively create that buzz through a team, organisation or entire company culture.
So many people don’t think it’s possible to feel good at work.
